For now I just work on the rare liver cancer, but the experiments I’m doing could hopefully be used to study loads of different cancers.

I’m very interested in rare cancers – they need enthusiastic scientists to study them, just because they’re rare doesn’t mean they’re boring. I find them exotic and interesting.

The cancer I study starts in cells called “epithelial cells”. These are a type of cell that form sheets of cells – like in your stomach and skin, and guts. So if I find things that can cause my type of cancer, they may also be able to cause these other sorts too.
