• Question: what experiment that you've done are you most proud off and why?

      I managed to improve a method of detecting a message that cells produce when they are infected with viruses. This was really tough as it required me to read lots about physics and chemistry to learn how to isolate the message from cells. When the technique worked as well as it did I was really chuffed.

      Hi Fionna.

      For my PhD, I developed this new technique to measure how much blood goes to babies brains. Doctors have since used it to gauge how ill premature babies are and whether they need help breathing and other types of medication. I thought that was pretty cool…
