You probably don’t think of it as an organ but it’s your skin! It just covers such a large surface area but if you weighed it all up it would be the biggest

The intestines are quite long too. And if you were to unravel all the folds in the brain, it would be massive…

This is the kind of question I would ask our common friend Google. What does it say? Do you agree with it?

The skin! It’s the largest organ by a lot, and has to behave differently in different parts of you, even though it’s all connected.

Try and think about how many different sorts of skin you have – the rough skin on your hands and feet, and the skin with hair coming out of it, the skin that sweats. And your skin seamlessly joins up with your insides….when you think about it humans are just big tubes!

As the others have already answered, your skin is the biggest organ! I know it is weird that the skin is an organ but the body does always amaze!

I look at the Kidneys, which are approximately the size of your fists, and yes they are slightly ‘bean-shaped’. So in comparison to the skin (just think your skin covers every bit of your body!) the Kidneys are quite small!
