      Great question Luna, and the reality is that all the areas of the brain have not been explored enough and neither has the spinal cord. There is a lot of research going on into all areas of the brain. I work on a region called the basal ganglia which is involved in movement. Parkinson’s disease is caused by cells dying in the basal ganglia.
      There is research going on into all areas – but we also want to know how the brain functions as a whole, for example to understand consciousness, which as you can imagine is really complicated!
