      Probably not yet but I did manage to find that our skin cells need two different proteins to work together recognise that they’re infected with a virus. This was quite big as everyone thought that they had it all figured out already.

      The tricky thing about viruses is that they often switch off our immune system but we need to understand how they’re detected so we can stop them doing that. If we know how the viruses are detected we can make new drugs to help our cells cope better with their viral infections.
