I got to spend a summer in a lab working in Boston during my undergraduate degree. I was really lucky and spent the summer learning about Lupus.

Many times. Mostly to Europe or the US and Canada.

The best time was this summer placement I did in Japan. I developed MRI scans to help diagnose this disease called Moya-Moya, which is very common in Japan. I also got to stroll around and visit lots of cool places on the weekends/days off!

Yes – that is a cool thing about science, you can travel to conferences all over the world and meet other scientists working on similar things to you. I also studied in New Zealand, where I did my undergraduate degree. I have been to quite a few places with work and in 2 weeks I am going to Mexico to a big conference and then I am going to travel around a bit afterwards which I am really excited about! 🙂

I never got to 🙁 but I’m in Amsterdam right now (I’m sitting in a church there trying this!) at a cancer medicine meeting, and then I’m going to Salt Lake City in the USA and Oslo in Norway later this year to speak about my research. It’s very exciting and is one of my favorite things about being a scientist – you get the chance to travel.

When I finish I want to work abroad, maybe in Canada.
