      Hi T1NKZ.

Being a vet sounds like a great career choice. I would discuss these with your teachers and whoever you think would be able to help (like us, good thinking!). Do some web searches as well, looking at Universities you think you may like to attend and their requirements.

You will need to study Biology and Chemistry quite a bit, together with other sciences. I hope that will be great fun!

Hope all works out well for you!

I would ask your teachers which subjects you need to take to study Veterinary medicine in University. Also, I would encourage you to try and find a placement at a Vet’s so that you can talk to the people who really know AND you will see whether you really like it or not.

      Hey T1NKZ!

I would say that you need to do all the sciences but most importantly – you need to get some experience working in a vets. When I was younger I worked in a vets to get experience and it was so much fun. I just emailed a bunch of vets and asked if I could go and help out to get some experience. If you tell them you want to be a vet that’ll help! I got to watch operations, and play with the dogs, and a huge owl! It was amazing, I wish I had become a vet but I wasn’t clever enough!

Good luck, it’s such a cool (but difficult) career choice, but I know you can do it!
