      Hi Aidan.

I did Physics, Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Portuguese for my A-levels. I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to do a degree in physics or medicine then, so I thought doing all these A-levels would keep my options open.

I enjoyed them all. I found physics to be the best, so I ended up doing a degree in it. I am still deeply in love in physics: my best days are those in which I either learn or manage to teach someone something cool about physics!

What subjects are you thinking of choosing?

I did Biology, Chemistry, Maths, English, French and Mandarin. I love languages and literature and studied both sciences and humanities at uni for the first year before choosing my degree in science.

I’m from Ireland so we do things a little differently over there.

For my GCSEs: I did English, Gaelic, Maths, French, History, Geography, Woodwork, Business studies and Science.

      I got a mix of As/Bs/Cs

For my A levels I did Chemistry, Biology, French, Geography, English, Gaelic and Maths. Once again I got As/Bs/Cs.

I struggled quite a bit with maths in school. I still need to do maths now, but it’s much more manageable when you know how to ask for help.
